The MWC Tactical Series watches, built with robust titanium cases and 300m water resistance, are designed for law enforcement and marine, surface, and airborne applications. These watches exceed U.S. W-46374F Type 6 specifications and are regularly ordered by a bulk contract client who places substantial annual orders for variants of this specific design. Based on mid-1990s designs, the current model incorporates significant upgrades such as a solid titanium case and bezel, shatter-resistant sapphire crystal, and enhanced water resistance increased from 30m to 300m (99ft to 1000ft). Additional features include a screw-down locking crown and caseback, high-visibility numerals on the bezel, and a clear, easy-to-read dial under adverse light conditions. The watch uses Swiss Tritium GTLS (Gaseous Tritium Light Sources), which are significantly brighter than conventional luminous watches.

The special covert matte black non-reflective PVD finish (Physical Vapor Deposition) used on this watch is often specified for special forces, anti-terrorist units, and police forces for covert operations. The PVD process chemically bonds the color to the titanium at a molecular level, ensuring long-lasting durability that vastly outperforms painted finishes. While extreme abrasion can damage the finish, it generally remains intact for many years, even under harsh conditions.

Key Features:

  • Movement: High-precision Ronda Quartz Movement (Ronda calibre 715li) designed to withstand high G-forces, with a 10-year battery life and end-of-battery life indicator.

  • Altitude Accuracy: Designed to maintain high accuracy at altitudes up to 12,000m / 40,000ft without compensatory pressurization.
  • Tritium Symbol: The dial features a radioactive tritium symbol, compliant with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations (10 CFR 30.15).

Benefits of Sapphire Crystal

Synthetic sapphire is the superior choice for watch crystals due to its durability, resistance to scratches, and ability to withstand shattering.

  • Reliability: Ideal for military personnel, police, and outdoor enthusiasts, who represent over 70% of our customer base.
  • Enhanced Strength: Heat-treated sapphire offers unparalleled resilience compared to plexiglass or mineral glass.
  • Anti-Reflective Coating: Ensures clear visibility under all conditions.

The History of MIL-W-46374-G Watches and the P656

The P656 series builds upon the foundation of the MIL-W-46374F specifications, first published on October 14, 1991. The "G" revision in the mid-1990s led to the creation of the Stocker & Yale Type 6 Navigator watch, a cornerstone of military-grade timepieces.
