The Classic Aviator series draws heavily from mid-20th-century military watch designs. Early wartime models featured a small subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, a defining characteristic of the 1940s. By around 1943, many manufacturers began transitioning to sweep second hands — the style adopted for this model. These design variations give collectors the option to choose the period look they prefer.
